As a member of McCann NY’s Truth Well Brewed team, part of my responsibility was to help plan the company holiday party in 2018. This included designing invitations signage, photo booths, and coordinating decor and any other aesthetic items surrounding the event. The venue for that year was Guastavino’s, a designated historical New York City Landmark that is part of the Queensboro Bridge.

For the invitation design, I drew inspiration from the beautiful and timeless tiled ceilings of the venue and for the typography I researched tiled subway signs along with older style restaurant entrances from early 1900’s New York.

To look as real as possible, each tile was drawn in separately as well as given different color variation to look more like it was done by hand.
