Challenge:
Bioré was launching a new iteration of its pore strip line and needed to reintroduce the product to a younger audience that had grown up with the brand but now had countless skincare options competing for attention. The campaign needed to highlight the satisfying, instantly visible results of the product while feeling fresh, culturally relevant, and shareable.

To expand reach, the brand partnered with actress Brittany Snow, whose audience aligned closely with Bioré’s core demographic and whose advocacy around confidence and self-image reinforced the brand’s messaging.

Solution:
I wrote the script and creative concept for a comedic two minute commercial featuring Brittany Snow discovering Bioré pore strips and filling the 10-minute wait time with a series of playful, activities. The concept leaned into humor and relatability, transforming a simple skincare step into an entertaining mini-story that mirrored how real consumers multitask while getting ready.

The spot balanced product demonstration with personality, showcasing the strip application and payoff while allowing Brittany’s comedic timing and authenticity to drive the narrative. The commercial anchored a broader campaign that encouraged audiences to participate in the #StripWithBiore challenge, turning the product experience into a social moment and encouraging user-generated content across social platforms.
